Congratulations to our 2010 Campaign School Class! We've assembled some of the best and brightest stars for our intensive training program; meet the students below!





 

 Annie's List Campaign School Class of 2010

 
SarahSarah Melecki is a recent Political Science graduate of the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. She has traveled extensively and is a passionate advocate of human rights. She has worked as a student and professional journalist, and is now ready to turn her considerable talents to working in electoral politics.
MitMitrara Salasel is a graduate of St. Edwards University. Prior to graduation, Mitra worked as an Annie’s List intern for a full year, and she was an invaluable addition to the Political Team. Mitra is also a professional make up artist and does work for magazines and the fashion industry.

EddieEduardo Villapando is a graduate of Texas A & M University and is originally from South Texas. He strongly believes in civil rights and was an active member of the University Democrats. In 2008, he was a trusted volunteer on Representative Chet Edward's campaign.

MartinMartin Fergus is a recent graduate of Southwestern University. Martin was a chapter president and national organizer for the Student Peace Alliance (SPA). The SPA is dedicated to promoting non-violent conflict resolution as a way to solve difficult and intractable foreign and domestic problems.

AlexAlexandra Lannon is a graduate of Southwestern University where she worked tirelessly to build coalitions and educate her fellow students on a range of GLBT issues. She is a serious academic and social activist.
CarolineCaroline Sellars currently serves as a researcher at the Texas Trust. She is an extremely dedicated young, political professional who is ready to extend her skill set and work hard to get our endorsed candidates elected in 2010 and beyond.

JennyJenny Casey is originally from the Bay Area and is a graduate of Baylor University. She currently serves as State Representative Jim Dunnam’s Legislative Director and Chief of Staff. She is a proven Capitol professional who is extending her skills into the electoral arena.
DyanaDyana Limon-Mercado received her MBA from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She currently serves as Representative Marisa Marquez’s Communication Director. She is a rare Austin native and has a long history of community service.

KathrynKathryn Freeman received her law degree from the University of Texas Law School. She was the recipient of the J.L. Turner Legal Association Scholarship and worked on the Texas Journal of Women and the Law. Since graduation, she has served as State Senator Leticia Van de Putte‘s Press Secretary.
MelissaMelessa Rodriguez is from San Antonio and is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she served as the vice president and president of the University Democrats. She interned for Texas State Senator Carlos Uresti during the 2009 legislative session.

VanessaVenessa Sepulveda is a graduate of Sacramento State University with a degree in Entrepreneurship. She has a strong history of service and volunteered in Tanzania during the summer of 2009 for an organization that provides services for orphans.

JessJess Faerman is from Houston and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. She served as a legislative intern in State Representative Ellen Cohen’s Capitol office in 2008 and 2010. She also interned at Annie’s List in the fall of 2006.
