Grace Ann Garcia returned to Texas after working for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Chief of Protocol at the U.S. Department of State where she was a liaison to Congress, assisted with numerous special projects including international summits and advised government officials on protocol issues.
Prior to joining the State Department, she was the principal of Grace Garcia and Associates, an event management and public affairs firm she founded in 2001. She has more than two decades of experience coordinating special initiatives, major events, and outreach programs. Grace has extensive experience in the political and the corporate arenas, including seven years as Special Project Director for the advertising firm GSD&M.
Grace’s career in government has taken her from the Texas State Capitol to the White House. In the White House, she held several senior positions including Deputy Director in the Office of Presidential Scheduling. She also served as the Director of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Interior working closely with elected officials at the state and local level including Governors and Mayors throughout the country.
With an extensive background in politics, Grace has been a senior advisor to numerous successful campaigns at the state and national level. She was one of the founders of new National Latina Political Action Committee – PODER PAC. She also coordinated the National Latino Finance Council for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
As the daughter of an Army officer, she was born in Heidelberg, Germany and grew up in numerous cites in the United State as well as several international cities.
