Mary has proudly represented Texas’ 75th House District, which covers rural areas surrounding El Paso’s lower valley, since January 2013. During the 85th Legislative session, she passed legislation that protects agriculture in the district, provided greater economic opportunities for Texans and prioritized the welfare of children in foster care.

Once re-elected, Mary will:

  • Work to secure funding for K-12 and higher education opportunities for the district, including pushing for Tier One status for the University of Texas at El Paso
  • Bring additional resources to build and improve basic water utility systems, improve accessibility and improve infrastructure in the district
  • Continue to support growth on the eastside of El Paso, promote economic opportunities for the region’s agricultural industry and ensure a sustainable community in the event of a crisis
