Making Progress – Women and Running for Office

Annie's List
August 11, 2017

Recently we hosted Making Progress: the Latest on Women and Running for Office, a webinar that focused on recent research surrounding progress that women have made in politics and their experiences in running.

Our Annie’s List Summer Fellows Ari Holland-Baldwin and Ashley Thomas joined Program Director Kimberly Caldwell to discuss the current state of women’s representation, women making the decision to run for office, and their experiences while campaigning.

Thanks to everyone who was able to join us for the live feed. If you missed it, or just want to hear it again, the recording and presentation materials are posted below.

If you’re looking for even more information on representation and making the decision to run, here are some great resources that our Fellows found helpful this summer:

Center for American Women in Politics (CAWP)

Equality Indicators

Higher Heights

Institute for Women’s Policy Research (IWPR)

Political Parity
