With less than 50 days Until Election Day, Annie’s List, Battleground Texas, Bexar County Dem. Party, Bexar Co. Dem Women Hold Large Rally to Embolden Democratic Women at the Top of the Ticket and Galvanize Voters

September 22, 2018, San Antonio, TX— With only weeks left until election day, Annie’s List, Battleground Texas, Bexar County Democratic Party, and Bexar County Democratic Women will hold a large rally this Saturday, September 22nd, from 4:00- 5:30pm at the Burleson Beer Garden in San Antonio.

 

Annie’s List, an organization focused on electing Democratic, pro-choice women to local and state office in Texas, has endorsed a record-breaking 34 candidates across the state this cycle, including statewide candidates Lupe Valdez (Governor), Kim Olson (State Agricultural Commissioner), and Joi Chevalier (Comptroller).  The five endorsed candidates in Bexar county are State Rep Barbara Gervin-Hawkins (HD-120), Rep. Ina Minjarez (HD-124), SBOE Member Marisa B. Perez (Texas SBOE District 3), Council Member Shirley Gonzalez (San Antonio City Council District 5), Council Member Ana Sandoval (San Antonio City Council District 7).  Annie’s List also endorsed Rep. Diana Arevalo (HD-116), who lost in the primary earlier this year.
